ABS – Acrylonitrile butadiene styrene

ABS is a combination of three different materials: acrylonitrile, butadiene, and styrene. The ratio of these three different materials are essential to the material’s quality. Due to its dimensional stability, ABS is often used for rigid objects. It is heat resistant and relatively cheap compared to other thermoplastics. This synthetic material can be used for casings of several machines.

Laser cutting ABS

ABS can be used for laser cutting. We can cut the material very precisely up to a thickness of 8 millimeters. Currently, BMTEC is using this technique to make a series of ABS hoods for Gallagher Europe B.V. every month. Our work on it makes it possible to put displays in the hoods.
